Cats and horses and the many farm animals in my life have been my true best friends since the age of six. Their steady presence, honest souls, genuine interaction and purity are the best things ever to fill my days and my life (and I've had a good life!)

On the Lookout
Most of my photography is observing and seizing fleeting, authentic -- and sometimes magical -- moments. I don't describe those as "the true essence" of a creature because I see so many "essences" within animals that just one doesn't cover all of their wonderous, unique, charming and often beautifully surprising qualities.
I so love the chase for those moments --
Thank you, Dad, for saving so many cats, dogs and horses from slaughter or ghastly lives. You saved them -- and you saved me -- by filling my life with love, vitality and the wonder and honesty of the non-speaking animals.
